Objective
The objectives of this project are to optimise a test method to allow measurement of banned azo-dyes in leather. A certified reference material (CRM) will be developed to ensure accurate and reliable results. Work carried out will include evaluation of reduction conditions, sample clean up, and chromatography along with minimization of false positive results. Inter-laboratory trials will be carried out along with homogeneity and stability studies on the proposed CRM.
