Development of a european measurement method for noise characterisation of domestic fuel oil and gas boilers (BOILERNOISE)

Objective

The Boilernoise project concerns fuel oil and gas boilers used for hot water central heating of residential and small commercial buildings. It seeks to develop a European measurement method for their noise characterization, in order to get a reliable value of their sound power level and to help CEN to develop new measurement standards, in relationship with the implementation of Construction products directive (89/106/EEC).
