Objective
The objective of the proposed DEVASTATION project is to make commercially available, validated and calibrated spot size measuring tools for SAM use at frequencies on 15 MHz up to 2000 MHz, as well as validated checker tools for use with lead frame devices, BGA devices and flip-chip components. Operating procedures and descriptions of the calibration and checker tools will be elaborated and submitted to the IEC and IPC/JEDEC standardization bodies for inclusion in the standard SAM operating procedure documentation previously produced for these bodies on the SMT STAMPEDE project.
