Global positioning system technology to fight frauds in the milk sector

Objective

Frauds in the milk-collecting sector is a relevant phenomena that concerns directly industries and public administrations as Ministries of agricultural. Frauds cause an important financial loss of diary companies, damage their competitiveness and oblige authority to control for limiting it. The control is done in a traditional way (administrative) and, in a limited way, with the support of electronics. Nevertheless, diary companies couldn't control very well the producer of milk (farmers) and the truck driver. The consequences are different typologies of frauds that damage companies, citizen, public administrations. We intend to propose the integration between the GPS localization technology, intelligent sensors, GSM data transmission to link an on-board computer to a remote control center using detailed cartography. The format of database will be agreed by Public Administrations. A second important result is the improvement of the quality of the milk collected.
