Implementation of the measuring instruments directives (mid) with regards to software of measuring instruments (mid-software)

Objective

The Network aims at harmonising MID implementations with respect to software of measuring instruments. It includes the development of category-specific software requirements, the recommendation of test methods, the establishment of compliance with relevant international standards of IT security and software quality, and the identification of future needs with regard to upcoming information technologies. The Network is motivated by software requirements so far not uniquely interpreted. Requirements and test procedures shall be harmonised in order to achieve a technical interface agreed between manufacturer and Notified Bodies and thus to form the basis for comparable assessments in various European member states. The main deliverables are guidance materials for both, manufacturers and Notified Bodies. Great importance is given to information distribution and training activities at regional level.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
