Comparability of the operation and evaluation protocols of european proficiency testing schemes in the chemistry sector (COEPT)

Objective

This project is designed to compare the statistical protocols and outputs from European PT schemes in the fields of: water, soil, food and occupational hygiene. This will study any differences in the outputs of PT schemes, and relate them to the protocols employed by each provider. This will be achieved by 2 sets of intercomparisons: the first will involve PT providers processing model sets of data and the outputs studied, and the second will involve large batches of samples being prepared, tested and certified values given for key parameters, which will be used as routine PT samples by providers. The operation of each PTS using these samples will be studied and compared, and the data evaluated statistically. The project will enable wider recognition of EU PTS by laboratories, accreditation bodies and regulators, where the outputs of PTS are broadly similar.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
