CLINICAL ONCOLOGY NETWORK FOR QUALITY IN EUROPEAN STANDARDS OF TREATMENT

Objective

CONQUEST seeks to cut out big variations in recurrence and survival rates for patients after cancer treatment (within and between EU countries). It will develop a quality management system with telematics and advanced multimedia work stations to provide specialists (of multiple disciplines) with a refined diagnosis and treatment tool to guide them through the latest protocols, while automatically supporting and checking patient treatment data and integrated imaging techniques. Better cancer treatment will result in reduced recurrences and treatment complications, leading to cheaper health care. The application is planned for future adaptation to other forms of medical care.
CONQUEST participates in the project cluster entitled: ACTION for Telematics Applications for Cooperative work of Healthcare Professionals.
