Objective

For understanding the evolution of complex chemical or physical systems a detailed knowledge of the fundamental interaction of the matter at an atomic or molecular level is required. Typical examples include technically important processes such as combustion, fusion plasmas or discharges. A more "remote" object of practical and scientific interest is the atmosphere of our earth. In this summer school we want to apply the knowledge on collision dynamics to fascinating objects which are "far away": it is intended to bring together theoreticians and experimentalists, physicists, chemists, and astronomers, observers and modellers in order to discuss the formation and disintegration of molecular structures under the extreme conditions prevailing in dense or diffuse interstellar clouds, star forming regions, circumstellar discs or other interesting regions in our universe.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
