Objective
The EuroConference RECENT DEVELOPMENT IN THE WAVE FIELD AND DIFFUSE TOMOGRAPHIC INVERSE PROBLEMS focuses on the latest mathematical research of inverse problems that originate from wave field or tomographic inversion applications. In these applications, the goal is to retrieve information from an inaccessible region by probing it with wave fields (typically electromagnetic, acoustic or elastic waves) or by monitoring diffusion through it (typically electric current, near infrared light or heat flows). In recent years, the mathematical research around these problems has been intensive and completely new approaches to solve these challenging problems have emerged.
Examples of such new approaches to solve these challenging problems have emerged. Examples of such new approaches are the use of differential geometric methods and techniques of control theory for partial differential equations. This research has also a strong impact on the research in applied and industrial sector. The EuroConference will be immediately after the Euro Summer School New Analytic and Geometric Methods in Inverse Problems that has selected by the European Mathematical Society (EMS) to have the status EMS Summer School. These venues are part of a programme for consolidating the joint work among the European researchers in the field of inverse problems.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
