Objective
The aim of the "Ecoles de Printemps d'Informatique Theorique" (i.e. Spring Schools of Theoretical Computer Science) is the presentation of new and ongoing research in Theoretical Computer Science.
The main goals of the Spring Schools are:
1) Presentation of theoretical fundaments of computer science as well as recent developments in this area,
2) Improving the knowledge of young scientists and of non specialists by introducing them to current trends, methods and problems,
3) Sharing ideas and problems from various fields related to Theoretical Computer Science (in particular through the invitation of major researchers from these fields).
In the next three years, we will focus on the following topics "Tilings of the plane", "Semantics of programming languages" and "Computer arithmetics". All these topics emerged in the last twenty years and correspond presently to very active research domains in Theoretical Computer Science.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
