Prominent Topics in Condensed Matter Physics

Objective

The goal of the EuroConferences, organised at the University of Patras is to expose young researchers in the Community to prominent topics of research in the broad context of the physical properties of matter. A theme common to all topics is the correlation between practicles subject to the laws of quantum mechanics, and observed in systems of a few particles and in bulk systems. The topics are choosen so they might appeal to researchers specialising in either experimental or theoretical studies. Each of the three conferences will focus on a distinct subject, namely;
Event I (2000).
Properties of the condensed matter probed with inelastic X-ray scattering.
Event II (2001)
Quantum concepts and phenomena in small groups of photons and massive particles.
Event III (2002)
Magnetic clusters.
