Objective Macromolecular crystallography (MC) permits the structure determination of the crystal structures of proteins, nucleic acids, viruses, etc.: it provides a deep insight into the living processes. Methods used in Macromolecular Crystallography are responsible for the success or the failure of the research and governs the economical aspects of this activity. This Euroconference is focused on the methods. The aims are the following: a) accelerate the research in MC and simultaneously save resources; b) train young scientists, disseminate seminal concepts and techniques, facilitates the creation of Companies for Research and Scientific Services. The leader specialists of this area will be lecturers of the Conference: the state of the art and the most critical aspects of the scientific area will be presented and discussed.ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/improving/docs/HPCF-2000-00053-1.pdf Fields of science engineering and technologymaterials engineeringcrystalsnatural sciencesbiological sciencesbiochemistrybiomoleculesnucleic acidsnatural sciencesbiological sciencesmicrobiologyvirologynatural sciencesearth and related environmental sciencesgeologymineralogycrystallographynatural sciencesbiological sciencesbiochemistrybiomoleculesproteins Programme(s) FP5-HUMAN POTENTIAL - Programme for research, technological development and demonstration on "Improving the human research potential and the socio-economic knowledge base" (1998-2002) Topic(s) 1.4.1.-3.1S5 - Life Sciences Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme ACM - Preparatory, accompanying and support measures Coordinator Type of Event: Euro Conference EU contribution No data Address This event takes place in Martina Franca (close to Bari) Italy See on map Total cost No data
