Young European Radioastronomers' Conference 2000

Objective

Young scientists (usually postgraduate students) from all countries in Europe working in the field of radio astronomy are brought together, allowing them to get to know themselves and to exchange knowledge. For most of them it is their first international conference. Topics of the conference cover the latest developments in the home countries of the participants from a broad range of technological and scientific categories in the field of radio astronomy. Emphasis is a) put on topics where a wide European collaboration is required (e.g. Very Large Baseline Interferometry, VLBI or the Atacama Large Millimetre Array, ALMA) and b) on topics where there is still a need for a broader dissemination of knowledge amongst European countries (e.g. millimetre wave astronomy).
