Objective
The main objective is to organize a conference "Symmetries in Geometric Analysis" to be held in the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center in Warsaw, Poland. The conference will be devoted to a subject, which is now very active and has parts in common with Complex Analysis, PDE (geometrical theory), Differential Geometry, Algebraic Geometry, and Mathematical Physics. The primary topics covered during the conference will include: Parabolic geometry, Cauchy-Riemann (CR) geometry, normal forms of CR manifolds, Bergman kernels of domains, conformal differential geometry, integral geometry, singularities of complex gauge fields, mirror symmetry, Seiberg-Witten-Floer homology, Nahm'S equations. Symmetry is a background principle, which is observable in many areas of mathematics and physics.
Many striking results are obtained at the border-line between different fields of geometry, analysis and mathematical physics. The recent development in so-called parabolic geometry particularly led to a better understanding of CR-geometry (important in complex analysis) and conformal geometry (important in physics). For further progress in this field it will be extremely useful to bring together specialists from geometry, complex analysis and physics. Already many top specialists in the above mentioned fields have agreed to participate.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
