EuroConference on Asymptotic Methods and Applications in Kinetic and Quantum-Kinetic Theory

Objective

The main objective of this Conference lies in the multidisciplinar study of asymptotic techniques for various kinetic and quantum-mechanical equations. Especially interesting is its interaction with some other neighbour fields such as Biomedecine, Microelectronics, Optics, Astrophysics and Transport of Quantum Particles among others, whose industrial implications are more and more relevant: design and miniaturization of semiconductor devices (heterostructures, superlattices, nanostructures), polymers, biomedical models (for instance, the analysis of kinetic equations modelling immunological systems), numerical simulations, etc. From the point of view of future research and fundamental progress in kinetic theory, the Conference would offer a good opportunity of interplay between theorists, numerists and experimental and of course between specialists in different scientific branches.

During the last few years considerable effort has been devoted to keep into touch theoretical science with industry. These connections to industry and the subsequent interactions, collaborations and possible lines for future work should result in interesting and innovator technological programmes and contributing towards achieving European research leadership. In this aim the Conference will organize special minisymposiums sessions on: Mathematics of Polymers, Granular Media, Biology Applications, Nonlinear dynamics in low-dimensional semiconductors structures, Quantum Molecular Quemistry, Stocastic Differential Equations, Astrophysics & Nonlinear drift-diffusion models.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
