Objective
The proposed project aims to encourage and support the participation of young European researchers to a unique jointly organised double conference event. This event is consisted of two complementary conferences the l5th IEEE International symposium on Intelligent Control (ISIC'2000) and the 8th IEEE Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED'2000). This unique double event covers the wide area of Control and Automation from the classic control theories to advanced control and intelligent control.
Both conferences are well known throughout international scientific community, they are organised under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. and Control Systems Society, which is an international well known organisation The organisation under IEEE ensures the high level status of these two conferences.
ISIC'2000 is organised for third time outside USA and brings together the majority of researchers young and established who work in the area of Intelligent Control. MED'2000 belongs to a series of successful events that are organised every year to Mediterranean country and participate researchers in the area of Control and Automation. Intelligent control refers to a collection of analysis and synthesis methods dealing with systems for which traditional control methods are inadequate. On the other hand the MED'2000 is dedicated to the general control theories and automation and applications.
The event will host a variety of contributed, invited and plenary papers. The main objective of this conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners to present, discuss and further develop views on all aspects of Control and Automation. The key intention is to create a forum where theories and techniques can be debated in all their details, as well as to facilitate the exchange of hands-on experiences from applications of control and automation across many fields. Control theory is an interdisciplinary scientific area.
