Cime 2002

Objective

C.I.M.E. is a Scientific Foundation that each year selects some topics believed to be of high current interest to organize Summer Schools in Advanced Mathematics, at the Post Doctoral level, to train young European researchers. Each year the Scientific Committee tries to obtain a mix between the needs of Abstract Research and of the Applications.

The topics chosen for year 2002 range from the very abstract Number Theory and Complex Geometry to a subject of high Industrial interest, like the Theory Applications of Imaging.

The purpose is, for some course, to expose young European mathematicians to areas that present high opportunities in terms of employment, while for others, to stimulate research presenting the current state of the art in fast developing scientific areas.

For year 2002, the ClME Scientific Committee has selected three Summer Courses:

1) Real Methods in Complex and CR Geometry,
2) Theory and Applications of Imaging, 3) Analytic Number Theory.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.
