Objective Cytochromes P450 are ubiquitously distributed enzymes. In humans, they govern many vital functions. The objective of this conference is to contribute to a better understanding and control of P450 catalyzed reactions and to stimulate the development of industrial and medical applications. To this goal, the best specialists from all over the world have been invited to present their results and to discuss new developments. The conference will cover all aspects of structural, functional and biological properties of the P450 family - with a comparison to analogous systems, such as NO-synthase. Special emphasis will be given to the use of new techniques, which have enabled ground-breaking work. Besides the main scientific sessions, several workshops will be held, especially dedicated to the newer trends in P450 research. Scientific excellency will be sought in each field, and the disclosure of major new results is expected. From the confrontation of leading scientists from different fields and from industry, the design of new research strategies will be facilitated.ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/improving/docs/HPCF-2001-00319-1.pdf Fields of science natural sciencesbiological sciencesbiophysicsnatural sciencesbiological sciencesbiochemistrybiomoleculesproteinsenzymesnatural sciencesbiological sciencesmolecular biology Programme(s) FP5-HUMAN POTENTIAL - Programme for research, technological development and demonstration on "Improving the human research potential and the socio-economic knowledge base" (1998-2002) Topic(s) 1.4.1.-3.1S1 - Chemistry Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme ACM - Preparatory, accompanying and support measures Coordinator Type of Event: Large Conference EU contribution No data Address This event takes place in La Grande Motte France See on map Total cost No data
