Objective
Trento 2001 is focussed on the applications of both concepts and methods based on light -front quantization of field theories to the description of several different phenomena ranging from nuclear to particle physics with a possible generalization to the theory of extended objects (strings, branes). The event belongs to a well-established series of international workshops and meetings, originated in Heidelberg in 1991. Those conferences usually took place in Europe or U.S. Besides fostering the traditional topics, Trento 2001 aims at opening the subjects to other scientific communities working in related area like lattice gauge theory and strings. It will gather both outstanding senior experts, who will deliver general introductory talks, and skilled young people mostly from EU, with a chance of presenting and discussing their work.
