Euroreg

Objective

This EuroConference will focus on the impact of European integration on regional convergence, location of industrial activity and labour markets adjustment in both EU member states and accession countries. The overall objective is to bring together established and young researchers as well as policy makers and discuss issues of actual importance in both current and future European Union member states such as:

a) Patterns of regional specification, regional disparities and regional convergence/divergence at European and national levels;

b) European integration, location and re-location of industrial activity;

c) Regional labour markets adjustments;

d) Regional policy in the context of EU enlargement. This conference will contribute to a better understanding of the structural changes at regional level in Europe and regional implications of the European Union's eastward enlargement. In particular, this conference will foster the creation of a network of researchers in the area of regional development from current EU member states and accession countries.
