High field infrastructure cooperative network

Objective

Description:
The main objectives of the High Field ICN is, by fostering the cooperation between 31 groups interested in developing high magnetic fields and the related research activities, to achieve definite progress in high field production and to explore with them the very unique properties of matter in very high fields.

In order to achieve these objectives, different common activities fostering the interoperability between the partners will be organized:
- It will be settled a very effective exchange program between partners, based on a two-three months stay of scientists. The total exchange program will imply 33 person-months. Each exchange program will have a specific object addressing problems related to the objectives;
- One school on science in high magnetic fields will be organized by the GHMFL in 2001.
There will be a 3-days annual meeting of the network partners organized successively in Grenoble, Nijmegen and Grenoble, by the respective operators of the facilities. In these meetings all common problems, projects, exchange programs will be discussed. In each meeting, one day will be devoted for topical discussions either on science or technics.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
