Soft clay modelling for engineering practice

Objective

The network will provide excellent training opportunities in advanced research techniques in soft clay engineering for young researchers financed by the contract and for their peers working within the 5 member institutions. Each researcher will be working within a group with international reputation for research in the relevant field with an additional benefit arising from regular contacts with the other 4 groups. These contacts with other groups will involve bilateral meetings to plan experimental research activities, exchange experimental data, collaborate on constitutive and numerical development or set up benchmark problems for mutual verification of different finite element codes. In addition, there will be exchange visits of young researchers to make use of specialists laboratory facilities or the theoretical or computational expertise available at another group. Finally, workshops held annually will provide opportunity for young researchers to give presentations on their work and to learn from their peers and the research leaders in the field.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
