Getting systems engineering into regional wastewater treatment strategies

Objective

(1) Training in the method of scientific and systems engineering research. This will comprise a structured presentation of how research is progressed by passing through the stages of problem description, literature review, examining current solutions, extending and innovating new research approaches.
(2) Training in the engineering problems of Integrated Urban Wastewater Systems. This encompasses a wide range of engineering issues and skills. These include how to construct system process models, the use of simulation tools, formulating hierarchical systems engineering problems, designing, analyzing and simulating control solutions for large scale systems, and identifying the potential technologies which might provide future real system solutions.
(3) General professional skill training. These are the skills to be obtained in communication, problem presentation, scientific writing and some more general topics like IPR protection and project management skills.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
