Objective
For the instruction of young researchers from various European countries the most advanced experimental and numerical methods and procedures will be used. The appropriate means are available at the universities and research institutes of the project partners. The experimental and numerical work will cover various topics, e.g. single-phase flow, flow boiling, convective condensation, two-phase flow patterns with transitions, void fractions, onset of nuclear boiling in laminar flow, two-phase flow structures and numerical work on modeling the two-phase flow phenomena. Different parameters will be varied during the experiments, e.g. fluids, channel geometries and sizes, surface roughness, etc. to obtain information about basic phenomena of heat transfer in narrow spaces. Workshops, seminars and at the end of the project an international seminar will be hold to exchange and publish the obtained results.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
