Objective
The PLUSN network exploits the broad range of technologies available in the host laboratories. To ensure efficient and rapid progress each lab will provide the highest standard of technical training, excellent working environments and good supervision for all the young scientists in the network. The exchange of young researchers and practical courses within the network ensures expert training at widely different multidisciplinary institutions of the highest international standards. Training in the partner laboratories will develop technical skills, communication, good laboratory practice, statistics, scientific ethics, and an appreciation of European and international science funding policy. In addition to participation in international and network meetings, organizing a major workshop encourages open European scientific exchange. The Network will generate young scientists who are well equipped to work in industrial or academic jobs, providing a rich resource for the EU.
