European science and technology week

Objective

We intend to hold a conference for young people drawn from other EC countries, 50 young Delegates and 12 teachers to hear about Climate Change and to discuss the issues raised and their implications on our daily lives.
The conference will last for 2 days:
Day 1 being taken up with briefing sessions from UK experts on climate change.
Day 2 will feature a visit to an appropriate institution and break out sessions when the students will discuss issues such as global warming, sea changes, eco-systems, farms and food, cost efficient policies to reduce emissions etc. The conference will close with an evening session when the young people will present their views to an invite audience.
