Objective
This proposal of round table meetings addresses fundamental questions regarding the dissemination of Northern research to non-scientific audiences in order to enhance their awareness of the European dimension of arctic researches conducted within Europe. The goal is to organize a consortium including both sciences centres, research institutes, information centres, museums and experts in new med. Its duty aims to discuss how to bridge the gap between sciences and public regarding Northern research and more especially about the issues related to the environment on which the European dimension rests. The Consortium will work to develop a framework allowing the exchange of knowledge and of expertise regarding the field of adapting the scientific information to the public and of improving their dissemination. Finally the current project aims to develop a new strategy that should contribute to bridge the increasing gap between science and public by developing new multi-media products.
