Europe plant biotechnology today and tomorrow

Objective

The project will address the topic of plant biotechnology as part of the European Science and Technology Week program. The project will deal with the key issues lauding public concerns. The main aim of the project is to communicate with the public the importance of research and its application to their daily lives. The project will help with increasing the appreciation and acceptance of appropriate technologies in our society in order to aid future socio-economic development in the EU. The deliverables of the project will be a documentary film about plant biotechnology and a Europe-wide video-linked conference on the topic. Through the chosen deliverables, the project will provide useful information and reference material to media, educational institutions, opinion makers and other interested parties. The project will include representatives from various regions of Europe and different expertise background.
