Objective
Microsystems technologies (mst) will become a future area to preserve and enlarge the competitiveness of the European industry. As a " technology of the 21thcentury", mst will play an important role in resolving problems which emerge in sectors of high public interest, e.g in the field of governmental precaution like health, environment and traffic. By today a series of applications can already be found in daily used products. These "invisible helpers" have often become indispensable, but their existence is a good many times not recognized. The project "EuMitec" is to create a multimedia showroom to demonstrate the state-of-art and future perspectives of most applications to a broad public. Parallel to the presentation, the partners will organize a series of seminars, lectures and panel discussions focused on specific but broad target groups.
