Objective
The objective of the project is to raise awareness of the importance of science and technology. The results of scientific and technical endeavors should be beneficial to all people of today. The platform of SMART is a mobile exhibition on current and future technologies focusing on technology for people with disabilities. The project will make use of an exhibition originally designed, equipped and financed as part of a national information campaign in Sweden. Main target group for the exhibition will be young visitors, age 12-23. After a tour in Member States, activities will culminate with participation in the European Science and Technology Week. Dialogue with the public will be established through seminars and stakeholders discussions. Representatives of the media will be invited to press seminars. Evaluation will include measurements of the impact of the exhibit. Special considerations will be given to gender aspects.
