E-awareness for europe: digital awareness and security for the citizen in europe

Objective

eAWARe addresses the growing need to raise awareness of the security issues relating to information communication technologies at the European level. Given the technological. developments associated with new technologies and the risks posed to information network B, European citizens need to understand the benefits and limitations of such technologies in their day- to-day lives . eAWARe will establish a network of technical , policy and communications special is to devise and implement an awareness raising campaign, spanning all sectors of European society. By addressing this issue, eAWARe supports the calls made by European institutions to launch education and awareness campaigns in this area. Extracting best practice and developing common materials and distribution methods, eAWARe will. add value to existing national initiatives by increasing citizenry trust and confidence, uptake and safer usage of new technologies.
