Participation in continuing vocational education and training (vet): a need for a sustainable employability

Objective

Knowledge about European reality on the technical workers’ participation in continuing vocational education and training has to be improved if adequate and effective continuing vocational training policies are to be developed in the Member States. The present research aims to identify, analyse and understand the factors associated to participation of industrial technical workers (engineers, technicians, etc) in continuing vocational education and training (CVET) activities in the European Union. In addition, aiming better understanding of the demands for training in tomorrow, the present research intends to evaluate and characterise technical workers' attitude toward to participation in continuing vocational training activities, with special reference to the domain of new technologies of information.
