Higher education institutions' responses to europeanisation, internationalisation and globalisation. developing international activities in a multi-level policy context.

Objective

The project aims to identify and analyze higher education's response to the challenges of Europeanisation, internationalization and globalization and the (supra) national contexts, the organizational settings, and the policies and activities aimed to support this response. These responses will be approached as a process of organizational innovation, change and adaptation in an international and multi-level policy environment. Factors that foster or impede internationalization and the extent to which contexts and policies reinforce convergence or divergence in internationalization of higher education in Europe will be analyzed empirically. The study will lead to recommendations for policy makers at the institutional, national and European level concerning effective policy coordination and management in internationalization of higher education.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)
