Objective

The project will test the concepts of a learning or knowledge society within the context of four city-regions. It will assess how learning can be utilized by cities in the development of integrated strategies for their future economic, social and sustainable development. The project will examine learning processes in a number of different types of initiative or network within the four case study city-regions on a comparative basis. It will also develop new indicators and tools for the measurement of learning activity and to assist in the development of strategy.
