Constructing understandings of homeless populations

Objective

The proposed thematic network brings together seven teams from Scandinavia, Northern Industrial Southern and candidate (Eastern) EU states with expertise in the field of homelessness research, to share knowledge of robust methodologies, substantive findings and policy outcomes. The multi-disciplinary network has used quantitative and qualitative methods to undertake national and local estimates and surveys of homeless populations, tracked services users, and accessed the voice of diverse homeless populations (gender, ethnic groups, migrants) and initiated debates on theories of social and cultural capital, risk, social exclusion, welfare regimes and biographic analysis in the study of homelessness. The network seeks to draw this knowledge together, to produce seminaries of methodologies used in harmlessness research; of substantive findings and conceptual frameworks, providing guides and sharing knowledge with NGOs, researchers and policy makers.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
