Objective
The TSEP network aims to describe and analyse emergence of "horizontal" European policy toward the third, voluntary, non-profit sector understood as a multilevel process involving nations and supranational institutions. TSEP involves country- level networking in 10 countries and at European institutions level. Supporting activities are to scope out parameters, concepts, processes needed to build a relevant policy analytic framework; application of that framework to organise a description of European dimension of salient country level policies, and the form or European institutional level policies, and linkages between levels. Evidence collated and synthesised by the TSEP network can be used to suggest testable research hypotheses to be examined in a full RTD proposal. TSEP working papers, interaction with policy actors in network meetings, and a launch conference in Brussels are crucial for ensuring that network activity benefits a wider audience.
