Objective
This proposal consists in organizing a series of three worships on the evolving governance structure of the firm in a knowledge based economy with the aim to create synergies between various approaches of the problem and to play an active role in the construction of a common body of knowledge to be shared by a larger community. The ambition is not only to re-consider the theory of the firm but also to explore the empirical dimensions and to expose the theories to facts and rice-versa. As a result it is expected to come up with various publications which could be condensed into some kind of reader to be used in various institutions for teaching post-graduate and doctoral students. Furthermore it should increase the understanding by policy makers and firms of the necessity to align public incentives with private ones in terms of knowledge creation.
