Objective Quality of life (QoL) is an abstract concept and influenced by many components like health-status, income, place of residence etc. It is defined differently by different groups of people. In HOTEL we focus on the question of how different disciplines assess QoL, and how it is taken care of in connection with all kinds of implementations in the areas of town planning, mobility and transport. A problem typology concerning transport and mobility aspects that influence QoL negatively is developed. To make further research and implementation easier we will give an overview of the elements usually take care of in this respect, and develop recommendations of how procedures can be improved. Finally, guidelines for a databank that stores assessment results from different disciplines, from measurements at different occasions, in different countries, etc., are established.
