Objective
StarMAP alms at providing in-depth research on a number of Multi Actors and Multi Measures Programmes (MAPs) in RTDI policy Designed as Accompanying Measure, the goal is to strengthen the ongoing STRATA "MAP Thematic Network" by providing thorough research on MAPs in countries for which it will not be possible lo obtain data and input from the Thematic Network participation. The objectives of and additional benefits from StarMAP will be the following:
To increase the number of schemes that can be compared within the MAP Thematic Network by identifying and analysing such programmes in other EU member countries and countries like the U S., Australia or Canada
To deepen the knowledge about all relevant framework conditions, mechanisms, structural requirements, instruments, interplay of aclors etc relating to MAPs in a very broad sense MAPs run in some countries for more than a decade.
Therefore both management issues and impacts on the respective Innovation System can be studied using a long-term view.
