Centre of excellence for advanced materials and structures : modelling and durability analysis for engineering design

Objective

The IFTR is the largest research institute of the PAS. Their staffs consist of 314 persons, incl. 63 professors or associate professors and 101 doctors. Its annual budged amounts to 4.33 Mio euro. For years it has got the highest A rank in annual evaluation by the governmental authorities. Its achievements in basic research in engineering sciences are worldwide recognised. Over 200 journal articles, 250 contributions in conf. proceedings and several books are published yearly by IFTR researchers
