Objective
The Foundation for Materials Science Development is the local organiser of the European Materials Research Society Fall Meeting 2002. It will be held in September at Krakow University of Technology with the Plenary Session being held on ! 7th September. Professor Richard Coach as the Vice-President of E-MRS and president of the Foundation for Materials Science Development is personally level scientific symposia which as Euro conferences have applied separately for financial support. Work Plan: A meeting was held in Strasbourg to agree the names of speakers for the Plenary Session. It was agreed that eminent scientists from Europe, the USA, Japan and Poland will present papers on the actual trends in advanced materials. Two speakers who are Nobel laureates are expected. Co-operation for the award of the Prof J. Czochraski Golden Medal was also discussed. It will be necessary to work with the Speakers regarding content, provision of accommodation for special guests for the Plenary Session, and authorities from Federation of European Materials Societies, the international Union of Materials Societies, and Polish State Committee for Scientific Research. Preparation of the Prof J. Czochralski Medal as well as the Award Ceremony Preparation of the facilities for the Plenary Session organisation of the Plenary Session Dinner including artistic part.
