International conference on environmental security in the danube river basin

Objective

The conference is aimed to explore relevant research topics, identify research groups specialized in the relevant areas, agree on structure and function of the research network, prepare the first draft of an EU-project proposal (output), distribute tasks, and agree on further deadlines (output). Milestones: Appointment of delegates (July 15, 2002), collection of overview papers and statements (Oct. 1, 2002), meeting in Salzburg (Oct. 23-25, 2002), final documents (Dec. 15, 2002).
