Improvement of coals combustion-efficiency and decrease of harmful emissions under the influence of plasma

Objective

The project 15 devoted to the solving of the problems of harmful emissions to the environment, reduced efficiency operation using poorer quality coals and relying on liquid fuel for light-up and to sustain flame stability for utility boileropreation. This aims are to be achieved through the implementation of thermo chemical plasma preparation for burning technology to provide improvements in all three areas. The work is an integration of theoretical ( thermodynamic and kinetic analyses and-D cod modelling) and experimental investigation ( in pilot and full scale combustion plant).

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
