Computation information technologies for environmental sciences : support to organization of international conference and school.

Objective

The aim of the Proposal is to support organization of international conference and young scientists school on computational information technologies for environmental sciences in Toms (Russia) in September 1-10, 2003, which will fill a gap between basic science achievements and their applications in these domains and provide a solid foundation for mitigation of pollution in selected areas. Also it is planned to use the Conference for giving transparency and diffusion to the target audience the work performed within environmentally oriented projects sponsored by INTAS, NATO, ISTC, CRDF and 6th FP in general. The scientific results will be disseminated by weans of special WWW-server, proceedings and a special issue of an international journal. Consolidation of EU-NIS cooperation in the field of interest is expected. The proposed measure will contribute to main objectives of the INCO Programme.
