Objective
EU is fostering the convergence between the European Research Area and the policies and strategies to implement cooperation with Macs, with a view to foster their RTD, regional integration and socio-economic development. The proposed AM is aimed at contributing to such a process by organising the second meeting of High Representatives of RTD Public Institutions from EU Member States and MPCs plus Libya and will be held in Antalya (Turkey)on 7-8/12/2001. The meeting is aimed at formaly launch the Networking of the Euro-Med RTD Institutions and implement joint initiatives of research, training and technology transfer, with a particular focus on issues concerning the development of health systems and the sustainable development in coastal areas. Finally, further steps to build a EuroMediterranean Research Area will be agreed, in line with principles and actions envisaged by EU for the realisation of ERA.
