Strengthening public health policies in health sector reforms in latin america

Objective

The Concerted Action will analyse policies related to health sector reforms in Latin America and Europe and their impact on public health care in order to share recent experiences and to improve actual policies and their implementation. The analysis of financing aspects, of the policy impact on particular control programmes (vector borne diseases, immunopreventable diseases , tuberculosis ,cardiovascular diseases and other non-communicable diseases)as well as on important principles of health care (such as equity, particularly gender equity) will bemused for developing jointly a tool kit for policy makers. This will strengthen the adequate health care particularly for the poor. European countries will learnfromLatin American experiences and vice versa.
