Objective
The Workshop is proposed in order to review the state of the art of available information systems and accessible information resources on key thematic areas in relation to aquatic resources as well as to identify a strategy for information sharing and interaction between scientists and decision makers in these key thematic areas and for the management of protected areas. The Workshop will achieve these objectives by alternating plenary presentations and discussions with panel-work. The main expected result is the definition of information tools indispensable for policy formulation and/or technical improvements in fishery management, aquaculture, health and veterinary standards and trade in fishery products.
