Results and prospects of research projects on small ruminants in africa

Objective

The meeting on "small ruminants in Africa" is a satellite symposia of CAPRI 2000 (international conference on goats at roars on 15-18 may 2000). It will be hold at potters on 20 may. The objective is to present the main results of the small ruminants projects in Africa : "Sissonville" project sponsored by DG12 EU regional project of research on small ruminants in Chad, sponsored by French Cooperation, disease and productivity of small ruminants project in Senegal sponsored by CIRAD-EMVT and ISRA and small ruminant project in Southern Africa. This meeting will be able to propose some recommendations for development of the small ruminants production.
