Objective
The objectives of this workshop are the establishment of: *the State of the Art, *the State of the Necessities in Marcos, *the Potential for the EU-Marcos co-operation (S&T and SME'S) and *the Diffusion of the results. Among various definitions of urban-urban agriculture we can select the following: "This is the agriculture assigned to provisioning of the towns and its development has the place in the horticultural belt in their surroundings. It includes also floriculture and ornamental plants. In general, is has been developed in the open air, but it has been eliminated by struggle on terrain generated by continuous urban expansion". In accordance with this definition, the Workshop which we propose has as specific objective to identify the problems that affect this kind of agriculture, in order to integrate the per urban-agriculture in the general context of the Agriculture sector. Once identified and revealed, we can propose specific solutions which need the contribution of Science and Technology, together with socio-economic factor, in order to push a progress for sustained development. These solutions can be applied to promote governing politicians in this sector, to the own market and to the civil society.
