Training to strengthen research, policy and practice in the health sector in south-asia

Objective

The AM proposes- to train young scientists in order to strengthen the research of an existing network of public health researchers and institutions in south-Asia. The training will be focused on methodological issues with regard to the assessment and analysis of changes in the health systems. The trainees will learn how to appraise and evaluate key-elements of south-Asian health systems from a comparative perspective within and outside the region.- to extend the scope of an ongoing research on shifts and reforms in the health sector in south-Asia by providing a review of the experiences of change to the management of health services in Nepal and Pakistan.
